Man it felt great to finally get back on to Lake Winnipeg. Hit up the east side this morning and couldn’t have picked a better day. It’s was warm, sunny and there was no wind to speak of.
The ice was a little rough in spots but over all easy going and we found 14” - 16” everywhere we went. The fishing was spectacular with about 40 fish iced ranging from an average of 18” to this decent 27”.
Many more caught but didn’t make it to the ice surface because it was a very delicate bite for most of the day. Yet again I won first fish, most fish and biggest fish today and I have my Chum Pucks to thank for that. Can’t wait till next weekend and hopefully the ice will thicken up a bit so we can travel a little further.
